Visitor Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors attending Brisbane Garden Expo 2026 (“the Event”), organised by Viskam Australia Pty Ltd T/A Brisbane Garden Expo (“the Organiser”).
By purchasing a ticket or entering the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1. Admission
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Event, any person where it is considered necessary for the safety, security or enjoyment of other visitors, exhibitors or staff.
All visitors must comply with directions given by the Organiser, security personnel, emergency services and authorised Event staff.
2. Event Program
The Organiser reserves the right to alter, postpone, cancel or substitute any advertised speaker, demonstration, exhibitor, entertainment, activity or feature without prior notice.
3. Weather
Brisbane Garden Expo is an all-weather event and will proceed unless the Organiser determines that weather conditions or any other circumstances make it unsafe to continue.
4. Security and Bag Inspections
For the safety of all visitors, bags, backpacks and other personal belongings may be inspected upon entry or during the Event.
Refusal to comply with a reasonable request may result in refusal of entry or removal from the Event. In this case, any refunds or other forms of compensation will not be provided.
5. Prohibited Items
Visitors may not bring in the following items as they are prohibited at the Event:
- Alcohol
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Weapons or dangerous items
- Glass containers
- Eskies
- Any item considered by the Organiser to present a safety or security risk
The Organiser reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items where appropriate. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any confiscated items.
6. Footwear
Suitable footwear must be worn by visitors at all times while attending the Event.
7. Animals
Pets are not permitted at the Event. Only registered assistance animals are permitted within the Event.
Assistance animals must always remain under the effective control of their handler and must be on a lead at all times. Owners are responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused by their animal.
8. Smoking and Vaping
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas where provided.
9. Photography and Media
Visitors may take photographs and videos for personal, non-commercial use only.
By entering the Event, visitors acknowledge that photographs, video recordings and other images may be captured by the Organiser or authorised media for promotional, marketing, publicity and future Event purposes.
By attending the Event, visitors consent and grant permission to the use of their image without compensation, without completion of an authorisation form or further notice.
10. Visitor Behaviour
Visitors must behave respectfully towards exhibitors, staff, volunteers and other patrons.
Any person displaying abusive, threatening, violent, intoxicated, offensive or disruptive behaviour may be refused entry or removed from the Event without a refund.
11. Children
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
12. Plant Purchases and Biosecurity
Visitors purchasing plants or plant products are responsible for ensuring they comply with applicable Queensland biosecurity requirements.
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for restrictions relating to the transport or movement of plants or plant products after purchase.
13. Plant Cloak Room
The Plant Cloak Room is provided as a convenience service for visitors to temporarily store purchased plants and products. By using this service, visitors acknowledge that the Organiser, staff and representatives are not responsible or liable for any loss, theft, damage, deterioration or misplacement of stored items.
Visitors must collect all stored items before the advertised event closing time. Any items left behind may be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or otherwise managed at the discretion of the Organiser. No responsibility or liability will be accepted for items not collected after the event.
14. Lost Property
Lost property enquiries should be made at the Information Desk during the Event.
Any unclaimed items will be managed in accordance with the Organiser’s lost property procedures.
15. Tickets, Entry and Refund Policy
Tickets for adults and children including and over 16 years of age cost $10. Any children under 16 years of age will not be charged an entrance fee. To enter as a child under 16, a suitable form of identification must be shown at the gate regardless of whether tickets are purchased online or at the gate. If ID cannot be produced, then a ticket will have to be purchased at the fee of $10.
Tickets are valid only for Brisbane Garden Expo 2026 and are non-refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds will not be provided in any of the following circumstances:
- You choose not to attend the Event.
- You are unable to attend the Event for any reason, including illness.
- You attend the Event but are dissatisfied with any aspect of the Event.
- The Event program is changed, or any speaker, exhibitor, demonstration, entertainment or activity is altered, postponed, substituted or withdrawn.
- If any part or all of the Event is cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, government direction, or any other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser after the commencement of the Event.
- You lose your ticket or fail to present a valid ticket for entry.
- You are refused entry or removed from the Event in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Should the whole or any part of the Event be cancelled, postponed or modified, the Organiser is under no obligation to provide a substitute event.
Paid tickets may be transferred to another person prior to entry to the Event. Free child tickets (for visitors under 16) are only valid for eligible children and cannot be transferred or used by adults.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any person presenting a duplicated, altered, forged or otherwise invalid ticket.
Where tickets are purchased at the gate, all persons for whom tickets are being purchased must be present at the time of purchase.
16. Pass Outs
The Organiser may issue pass outs at their discretion.
17. Liability
Visitors attend the Event at their own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to personal property, or for any injury, illness or loss suffered while attending the Event, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.
18. Emergency Procedures
All visitors must immediately follow directions given by Event staff, security personnel and emergency services in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
19. Privacy and Personal Information
The Organiser may collect and retain personal information relating to ticket purchases and admissions, including names, postal addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers.
For tickets purchased online, the booking agency, Trybooking, may collect and retain personal information and you should refer to their website for details.
Personal information will be collected, used, stored and disclosed only as permitted by applicable Australian privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and any other applicable laws.
The Organiser may disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, or where necessary for the administration of the Event.
20. General
The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary for the safe, secure and successful operation of the Event.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
